Lexcel Standard

Lexcel is the Law Society’s practice management standard. It sets out a framework of operational standards against which law firms and in-house legal departments are measured by independent assessment.

The Lexcel standard, provides legal practices with a framework of best practice principles for managing their practice. In particular, Lexcel helps practitioners comply with the new Solicitors’ Code of Conduct 2007 and other regulations.

Many firms looking to apply for Lexcel Accreditation for the first time wish to know how this will affect their professional indemnity insurance.
