Lexcel FAQs (Frequently asked questions)

How much will a consultant cost?
This depends upon the size of practice, number of offices, how far away you are from the Lexcel standard and how much time you are prepared to spend internally on gaining the accreditation.

How much time will it take?
Again this depends on your current position but you shouldn’t underestimate the time required to:

  • Review your current situation
  • Indentify gaps
  • Agree a plan and time scale
  • Implement new procedures
  • Build up newly compliant files

Do I need a consultant to achieve Lexcel?
No, however this may prove more cost effective than undertaking all of the required preparation internally. Most practices find there is a balance between the time they can commit and the benefit of external assistance.

What aspects of management can Lexcel assist with?

The Lexcel standard not only helps with risk management but also assists with HR, Finance, Marketing and Operations by implementing the required policies and procedures.
